Puck You by Elizabeth Jewell

Genre: GLBT, M/M, Contemporary, Erotic Romance

Rival hockey pros Bessette and Láska are going crazy with wanting to take their frustrations out on each other. When their aggression crosses the line into the dressing rooms, it creates bodily collisions nothing like what happens on the ice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Láska and Bessette are on opposing hockey teams, playing for the Stanley Cup, and tempers are riding high. They’re supposed to leave the game on the ice, but a fight during the game keeps going when Láska catches Bessette alone in the locker room after everyone else has cleaned up and gone home. Elizabeth Jewell has them saying, literally and figuratively, Puck You.
What follows is what a friend calls, “alpha male, I-don’t-like-you sex.” It’s hot, it’s steamy, and if I don’t believe that one aspect of it is physically possible, just this once I’m not going to quibble a lot, though I am going to wince. Láska’s driving the encounter, pushing Bessette’s buttons every way he can think of. They’re communicating in fragments of a couple of different languages, because they aren’t fluent in the same ones, and the effect is great. One bit of snarling:
“You got the balls to fuck me?”
“You got the balls to let me?”
Bessette blinked. It was one of those moments when he wasn’t sure if Láska had said something important or was just stringing English words together hoping they would make sense. Also, he wasn’t entirely sure how to answer the question.
Most of Puck You is taken up by the sex, although the hockey sections sound, to a non-hockey-fan, like the author knows her game. The sex has a purpose in the plot – it’s not just there to titillate (though it does! It does!). Bessette’s head is spinning, and Láska’s got the last laugh, if not the last moan.
Puck You is the first in a series of four shorts, and now I’m ready to read the others.
I love m/m hockey stuff! I'm a fan that prefers hockey love to hockey hate (for instance, I love watching guys hug each other after scoring goals), but I'd read this, sure.
